Day 1: Arrival in Istanbul, Transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival in Istanbul transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day is free for you to explore on your own. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2: Istanbul Old city tour
After breakfast approximately at 8:30 am pick up from your hotel to begin the full day tour. Visit Haghia Sophia Museum, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace. Lunch at a local restaurant. Drop off to your hotel at around 5:30 pm. Overnight at a hotel in Istanbul. (B, L)
Day 3: Bosphorus Cruise & Dolmabahce Palace Tour
Breakfast at the hotel, then meet your guide at hotel lobby for a short drive to Spice Market, Egyptian Bazaar heaped with various sweets & spices is one of the world’s largest spice bazaars since 1665. Soon after, we embark on the Bosphorus ferry for an unforgettable cruise along the Bosphorus, the beautiful strait that divides Europe from Asia. After lunch break, we continue driving across the first Bosphorus Bridge & head for the summit of Camlica Hill, which offers 360° panoramic views of Istanbul overlooking the Sea of Marmara. Driving back to Europe over the Bosphorus Bridge, we visit Dolmabahce Palace, with more than 340 rooms & eight Turkish Baths the Imperial Residence of the last six Sultans. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel around 17:30. Overnight in Istanbul. (B, L)
Day 4: Flight To Izmir, Ephesus Tour
You will be picked up from your hotel for your transfer to the airport to catch your early morning flight to Izmir. Upon arrival at the airport you will be transferred to Selcuk where you will meet your professional tour guide to begin your full day small group tour. First you will visit The Temple of Artemis, which once was one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. Then you will visit the world famous ancient Greco-Roman City of Ephesus, the most well preserved example in the world. You will be able to explore the ruins of Ephesus while strolling past the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, and the Trajan Fountain and be able to visit the Great Theater where Paul preached to the Ephesians. After visiting this impressive site, you will have a lunch break. After lunch, you will visit The House of Virgin Mary, where it is believed she spent her last days. This is a holy place for both Christians and Muslims. Next you will visit the Ephesus Archeological Museum to see findings of Ephesus excavations. You will also visit on this tour the İsabey Mosque, one of the oldest and most impressive works of architectural art in Turkey. After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kusadasi for check-in. Overnight in Kusadasi. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Pamukkale and Hierapolis Tour, Flight to Istanbul
Breakfast & check out from the hotel in Kusadasi. After breakfast we will depart from Kusadasi to Pamukkale, as soon as we arrive we will continue onto guided tour of Pamukkale and Hierapolis.
Pamukkale means cotton castle in Turkish. It is the result of limestone formations built over thousands of years. Warm calcium rich mineral water flowed over the cliffs and as it cooled it deposited the calcium into the formations that are seen today. Pamukkale is now a world heritage site.
Hierapolis was founded as a healing care center in 190 BC, taking advantage of the mineral
waters in the area. It was one of the most important intellectual, artistic, religious and commercial centers of the Roman Empire. After the tour, you will be transferred from Pamukkale to Denizli or Izmir Airport for your flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival you will be picked-up from the airport and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul. (B, L)
Day 6: Departure, Transfer to International Airport in Istanbul
After breakfast check out from your hotel in Istanbul (before 12:00). You will be transferred to Istanbul Airport or Cruise Port for your onward travel arrangements.
